Leonardo da Vinci
For our research project this year, we will be learning about Leonardo da Vinci. The intention of our unit is to explore why Leonardo is considered the ideal Renaissance man, and ultimately answer the following three questions:
- Who was Leonardo da Vinci and how did he exemplify the Renaissance period?
- Do you believe Leonardo da Vinci's creative genius is best demonstrated as an artist, a scientist, or an inventor? In which of these three arenas did he make his most important contributions?
- What is the ongoing legacy of Leonardo? What would he be doing if he were alive today? Are there any New Renaissance Men/Women of today?
Your answers to these questions will take the form of a Renaissance Slide, a Persuasive Essay, a Replica or Model, and contributions to our Class Blog.
